| Scenic views abound at Radnor Lake. Overlooks from ridge tops vary
from a pinnacle at Gainer Ridge, which reveals winter in downtown
Nashville, to unique lake views along three of the trails. Glimpses
of the water are common along the Lake Trail. Perhaps the best lake
view is from the spillway. Surrounding hills belonging to the natural
area provide a scenic backdrop for lake water inhabited by waterfowl,
turtles, and aquatic plant life. Deep woods have flowering plants
most months and wildlife activity completes the picture Radnor hikers
