Welcome otter Program Schedule

Radnor Lake Programming

Although there are no formal programs scheduled until July 1st, you can still enjoy the sights and sounds around Radnor Lake while you hike the trails.  Rangers will offer impromptu programs around the Lake throughout the spring months. Please check the board at the Visitor Center for weekly information.

Now is the time of year to spot migrating waterfowl such as canvasback, bufflehead, and lesser scaup. Turtles will emerge to sun on logs and great horned owls will begin to nest.

Beavers, otters, and other small mammals will become active as temperatures warm. Thank you, and enjoy your hike!

And of special note, three bald eagles have been seen over the past two weeks: two adults and one juvenile.   Watch for them fishing in the lake, sunning in the branches of a dead tree, or flying majestically across the water. While the eagles are around Radnor Lake, canoe floats will be on hold since we don't want to threaten the possibility of their nesting at Radnor Lake!
