Attention All Visitors:
Canoe Floats Have Been Cancelled Until Further Notice
Two Bald Eagles showed up around Mother’s Day this year at Radnor Lake. Since then many park visitors have caught glimpses of the birds fishing, soaring or just hanging out in the trees around the lake.
The Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act of 1940 states that it is illegal to “…agitate or bother an eagle to a degree that interferes with or interrupts normal breeding, feeding, or sheltering habits...” To ensure we comply, we have decided to stop our popular canoe floats until the eagles depart. The Ranger staff hopes you understand and enjoy the eagles while you can.
